Wow, Claire Foy(Lisbeth Salander) deserves most versatile actress of the year! We loved her in The Crown, she was great in First Man but this role was amazing. Being the third actress to play Lisbeth Salander, (Rooney Mara and Noomi Rapace), Foy did a great job. We were a little worried the fierce trailer would be better than the movie, but we were wrong. We haven’t read this book, so we can’t speak to the book to movie authenticity, but we totally enjoyed the film. The action scenes are very visceral and fascinating as to thinking while your head is being bashed in. The technical toys were very interesting, wish they were all available to regular people. Returning characters Plague (Cameron Britton) and Mikael Blomkvist (Sverrir Gudnason) are aided by NSA agent Edwin Needham (Lakeith Stanfield) to help her solve this mystery. Frans Balder (Stephen Merchant), taking a break from his usual comedic roles) starts the ball rolling for this drama, only to have it hijacked by Camilla (Sylvia Hoeks). We saw this movie courtesy of Sony Screenings at the Alamo Drafthouse, love the recliners. We highly recommend The Girl in the Spider’s Web when it opens this weekend.
