Day 8 2019 TIFF started with an early walk to Jackman Hall at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) for a screening of Raf. This is a typical Millenial film– it was written and directed by someone who has always gotten an award no matter how poorly they have done.

Lucy in the Sky
We had a little break, so we went back to Eaton Center for a little shopping and a snack. Then back to the grindstone at the Princess of Wales Theater to see Lucy in the Sky. This movie is loosely based on the Lisa Nowak story. Natalie Portman was fine and it’s always good to see Jon Hamm on the big screen.

Wild Goose Lake
We went back to the apartment and then Karl drove us all up to Rosehill to eat dinner at Copacaccia. Then we were back to the ScotiaBank Theater for The Wild Goose Lake. A graphic Chinese film that just went on too long. Sometimes, the best part of a movie is the people you meet in line.
